TOMATO RICE

Ingredients :

Soaked Rice : 1 cup 
Tomato Puree : one fourth cup 
Green Peas : one fourth cup 
Onion : 1 medium sized (cut into long slices )
Green Chilly : 1 (long pieces)
Oil : 3 tbsp
Cloves : 4 
PepperCorns : 5 
Cinnamon Stick : 1 "
Bay Leaf : 1-2 (optional)
Salt to taste 
Water : as per the quality of rice ( around two to two and half cups)



Method :

1. Heat a thick bottom vessel .Add oil and dry spices .
2. Add onions , when the onions become transparent , add tomato puree and saute for a min.

3. Add drained soaked rice and saute for 3 -4 mns on medium flame .Make sure the rice doesnot stick to the bottom of pan .

4. Add water , salt , green chilly and green peas and cook till rice is done .

5. Serve hot .
