BREAD POHA

Ingredients :

Bread : 8 - 10 slices,  cut into small cubes.
Onion : 1 large , finely chopped .
Tomato : 2 large , finely chopped
Curry leaves : 8- 10
Green Chillies : 1 ( finely chopped or cut into long slits as per your wish)
Oil : 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds : half tbsp
Cumin seeds : half tbsp
Salt to taste
Corainder leaves : 2 tbsp
Lemon ( For serving )




Method :
1. Heat a pan , add oil , add mustard seeds . When mustard seeds splutter add cumin seeds , onions , curry leaves , green chillies and cook covered on low flame till onions become soft and transparent.
2. Add tomatoes and saute till tomatoes become soft .

3. Add bread cubes and mix very well .Add little water and cook covered for 3-4 minutes so that water is absorbed well by bread cubes .Bread poha is done.


4. Garnish with corainder leaves and serve with lemon wedges.




Note :
1. Cheese lovers can make cheesy bread poha by omittimg onions and curry leaves  from this recipe and once the poha is done , they can transfer the contents in a microwave proof dish and top it with processed cheese and bake for 4 minutes at 180 ` C in a preheated oven .
2. Amount of water added in the recipe depends on the freshness of the bread . If the bread is fresh and soft , just sprinkle little water and cook , if the bread is dry , add more water .
