BUTTER NAAN

Ingredients :

All Purpose Flour ( Maida) : 100 gms
Baking Powder : one fourth tsp
Soda bi carb : one fourth tsp
Curd : 4 tbsp
Sugar : 1 tsp
salt : a pinch
Butter : 2 tbsp
Water : to make dough

Method :

1. Mix all the dry ingredients very well .
2. Mix curd and required amount of water to make soft dough .

3. Apply one tbsp of butter on dough and allow the dough to rest for 2- 3 hours .

4. After 2- 3 hours , again smothen the dough and make small balls .
5. Allow these balls to rest for 8 - 10 mins. This is very important for proper naans.

6. Roll these balls in desired shape and apply little water on one side ( water should spread on entire naan, this will help the naan in sticking to griddle while cooking )and put that watered side on tava on very low flame . After 1-2 min , invert the tava so that the unwatered side of naan gets directly cooked on gas flame again on low heat .

7. Once done remove the naans from tava with the help of a tong and apply remaining butter and serve hot with daal or any sabji.

Note :
1. In case you want to cook multiple naans , use big flat pressure cooker and stick many naans on its bottom  and sides . Cooking method is simlar , you need to invert the cooker also after some time for proper cooking .
2.Many veg and non veg stuffing can be done on these .
3. If you are making one naan at a time on tava , tava with handle is easy to use , keep moving it little when inverted , otherwise naan will burn

Tomorrow's Recipe : Mix Veg in cheesy tomato gravy.
