Sambhar (restaraunt style)

Ingredients:

Arhar Daal: 200 gms
Tamarind Paste : 2tbsp
Sambhar Masala:4tbsp
Dry Red Chillies Whole : 4 nos
Tomataoes : 2 medium sized
Green Chilly : 1 small
Curry leaves : 20 leaves
Mustard seed: 1 tbsp
Kashmiri lal mirch : half tbsp
Onion : 1 large cut into small cubes
Ladies Finger : 3 cut into small circles
Oil : 3tbsp
Salt to taste

Method:

1. Wash and boil arhar dal along with salt , tomatoes and green chilly.
2. Mash boiled dal properly and add 3 cups of water , tamarind pate dissolved in little water
and allow to boil .
3.Keep aside .

Tadka :

1. Heat pan , add oil , add mustard seeds , when they splutter add onion , ladies finger and curry leaves .
2. When onions becomes light brown , add kashmiri lal mirch , sambhar masala .


3. Add this to boiled dal .and simmer on low flame for 10 mins .
4. Sambhar is ready to be served.

5. Can be served with rice , idli or dosa .
